Pillings is a Japanese brand, designed in Tokyo by Ryota Murakami. The name originates from "pilling" - small loose strands or balls of fiber that form on an item of clothing, usually caused by wear and tear. The name encapsulates the brand's hope that their customers will continue to enjoy their garments until they become covered in tufts of lint.
