Artist and designer Rory William Docherty creates seasonless pieces.
Incorporating textiles based on his own original hand drawn and painted artworks. Carefully crafted and hand finished in New Zealand, from exclusive original silk prints, Italian wool and cashmere, Japanese suiting, Egyptian cotton, New Zealand Merino jersey and knitwear.
Focused on the creative process, drawings evolve into paper maquettes, are enlarged and draped into fluid and sculptural forms, refining the conceptual into garments which feel reassuringly familiar yet aspirational. Glamorous, contemplative or playful, each Rory William Docherty piece is imbued with a sensitivity evoking an emotional connection.
